Purchases

I bought the Full Book, but the chapters are locked

This can happen on a new iPhone or after reinstalling the app. To get your purchase back:

Open Brain Attic and tap the gear in the top corner of the cover.
Tap Restore Purchases.

Make sure the iPhone is signed in to the same Apple Account you bought the book with. Restoring is free. Apple won't charge you again for something you already bought with the same Apple Account.

Is it a subscription?

No. The Warm-Up chapter is free. The Full Book is a single one-time purchase that unlocks every chapter, with no subscription and no ads.

Can my family use my purchase?

Yes. The Full Book supports Family Sharing. If purchase sharing is turned on for your family group, a family member can open the app on their own iPhone and tap Restore Purchases.

How do I get a refund?

Apple handles every payment and refund, so we can't issue one ourselves. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in, and choose to request a refund. Apple makes the decision. If a refund is granted, the paid chapters lock again.

My purchase says it is waiting for approval

This usually means Ask to Buy is turned on, so a parent or guardian has to approve the purchase first. The book unlocks on its own once it is approved.

Progress

Where is my progress saved?

Only on your iPhone. There is no account and nothing is sent to us, so progress does not move between devices by itself. Deleting the app erases it. If you set up a new iPhone from a backup of your old one, your progress may come along with it.

How do I start over?

Tap the gear on the cover, then Reset All Progress. This clears every checkmark and hint. Your purchase is not affected.

Puzzles

How do hints and Reveal work?

Each puzzle has one or two hints, shown one at a time. Reveal shows the answer and the reasoning behind it. A puzzle you reveal does not earn a checkmark, since the checkmark means you solved it without peeking. Resetting your progress gives you a fresh try.

I think an answer is wrong

Please tell us. Email the chapter name and puzzle number, along with the answer you expected, and we'll take a look.

Requirements

Brain Attic is made for iPhone and needs iOS 17 or later. It works without an internet connection, except when you buy or restore the Full Book.
